My SQL Agent backups keep failing to backup the database. I keep getting AE0004 Failed to open file errors. The whole purpose of using the SQL Agent is to avoid this issue. I've reloaded the agent several times and it still doesn't work. Got any suggestions?

Do you get the AE0004 messages during the backup of a SQL DB via the SQL agent , I dont think so.I have seen it happen when doing a backup of the c: or the d drives.

The agent is apparently failing to backup the database using the agent after failing to backup the files on the 'd' drive job. I went back in and unchecked the database files on the d: drive backup and we'll see if it runs properly tonight. Thanks for the info.
