SQL 2005 - password expiration

I have to use the 'password expiration' on the SA account.

What happens if the password is not changed when it expires. It would be set up to expire every two months. If i forget to change the password - will this impact anything? The SA account is not used.

If the SQL Services are restarted and you using the 'sa' password for application (which you should never do) they could fail. If you aren't using the 'sa' password then nothing. It will just require you to change the password the next time it is used.
