Hi all,

With SQL 2000 I used to configure my maintenance plans so that only the last 5 backups are stored on the local machine.

With SQL 2005 there does not appear to be this option when using the Maintenance Plan wizard, therefore I will potentially fill up all my diskspace and cause another headache.

Any ideas if this option is avaliable in 2005? If so where?

Thanks.

There is a Maintenance Cleanup Task that you have to add to your maint plan. That is where you specify how many backups to save.
