Hi,

I am running SQL server 2005 std with 5 databases. For some reason the SQL server uses 12.8gig of memory. The only way i am able to stop the high usage is by putting min-max limits. How do i troubleshoot the issue. Any advice would be greatly apriciated. Thanks

That is the intended behavior. This is from the BOL:
The default memory management behavior of the Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine is to acquire as much memory as it needs without creating a memory shortage on the system.
