I have mainly a memory configuration question. If anyone has advice on how to setup Windows 2003 Ent x64 Server and SQL 2005 to take advantage of the 32GB of memory I have, I would greatly appreciate it.

I know a little about /PAE, /AWE, and the /3GB switches but are not sure what is best when running it on a 64 bit OS.

My setup is:

MB - Tyan Quad Dual Core MB
CPU - Quad Dual Core AMD 880 Opteron
Memory - 32GB Axiom PC2700 DDR ECC REG
Hard Drive - Maxtor 73GB 15K U320 SCSI (Mirrored)
NIC - (2) 1Gbit NIC's teamed (Smart Load Balancing)
OS - Windows 2003 Enterprise Server x64 Edition
SQL - SQL 2005 Enterprise Edition

Basically what switches if any do I need to apply in the boot.ini and what should I setup in SQL 2005 Server to take advantage of the 32GB of memory.

Thanks,

Chad

64bit doesn't have AWE. The 64Bit OS can nativly address all the memory. As long as Windows can see it SQL can see it (provided you have the 64bit version of SQL installed).
