I am missing something with this. I am going to set up a Sql server 2000 box in our office and tie it into our Novell 5.1 environment.

My main question is, What software do I need for the server. I know that Sql2000 is licensed per processor, but what else to I have to get.

Do I also need to buy Windows 2000 server?

If any of you have any opinions please feel free.
Thanks

You need to either set up a NT4.0 or Windows 2000 server to run SQL server on. Personally I would recommend 2000.

Thank you.
After reading through all the MSDN sheets, my head is spinning. I got that idea while reading the data sheets but wanted confirmation before going ahead and quoting it out. It would seem that I am going to have to hone up on this subject, or our new database will be trash before it gets off the ground.
