Hi,
I'm running SQL2000 SP4 and have backed up a database from my old SQL2000 box which I wish to restore (using Enterprise Manager). Should be easy enough......
The O/S has 5GB free space on Drive C: - I am restoring the data to Drive D: which has 400GB of free space.
I've created a new blank database, ensured their datafiles & Transaction logs are on Drive D:.
I initiate a RESTORE of the .BAK file (database backup from the old server) and am told there is insufficient disk space on DRIVE C: - I don't understand why Enterprise Manager is attempting to restore to Drive C:, when all instructions are specifically to ensure that the RESTORE goes to Drive D: - The new Blank database I created has all its files on C:
Am I going mad?
Thanks for reading this!
