First - can you install Sql 2000 on a Windows 2003 server

Second - if I can install Sql 2000 what would be the recommend way to install. Thanks

Install it in the same way that you would on Server 2000, just ignore the warning message. Then install the latest SQL Server SP.

Yes you can install SQL 2000 on Windows 2003.

What do you mean by what is the recommended way to install?

i think what he means is that if you're trying to install SQL server2k on a 2003 server, you get an error message right at the beginning of the install saying that w2k3 server will not run SQL server 2000 with anything less than a SP2. It allows you to click thru this error and install it anyway.

As I write this, the latest SP out for SQL2k server is SP4 - which is kind of confusing to know which one to install.
