Hi,
I've got a Windows 2003 server box with two instances of SQL 2000 installed.

First instance is SQL 2000 Enterprise edition
Second instance is SQL 2000 Standard edition

Can these be treated as two separate SQL installs ?
Could the first instance be upgraded to SQL 2005 without effecting the second instance ?

hoping someone has experience with this sort of setup.
appreciate any info.

Yes you can upgrade one instance without effecting the second instance.
