Hi

I have just tried to install sql 2k enterprise edition on our cluster server.

It gets as far as adding the virtual ip address, add to the public conection and when u press next .. nothing happens :(

No error message .. no entries in event viewer .. im now at a loss.

There is a drive available in the san and its currently connected to the installation node.

we are using 2k adv server sp4 on both nodes.

any help would be appriciated. TVM

I have checked out the stpsql.log file and found that it had got as far as attemtping to select the drive for the cluster.

<extract>
14:55:57 Begin Action ShowDialogsHlpr: 0x8000
14:55:57 Begin Action : DialogShowSdDiskGroups
<extract>

The server then just sits there.

I have removed the drive from the SAN and recreated it with a different name and even drive letter and placed it in a different group.

The drive is active on the node I am installing to and reads/writes with everyone full control permissions.

Anyone any ideas??
