Have anyone experienced this before?
When we try to backup a databases on a client running NT4 SP6 with SQL 2000 we get this error on one of the databases:

jan 11 20:42:21 nwserver: * sqlserver:MSSQL:NVDB_VN_TEST nsrsqlsv: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired
jan 11 20:42:21 nwserver: * sqlserver:MSSQL:NVDB_VN_TEST nsrsqlsv: Database consistency check(s) failed for NVDB_VN_TEST
jan 11 20:42:21 nwserver: * sqlserver:MSSQL:NVDB_VN_TEST nsrsqlsv: XBSA invalid object status. (BSA code 55): Internal error in nsrvdi.cpp line 209
jan 11 20:42:21 nwserver: * sqlserver:MSSQL:NVDB_VN_TEST nsrsqlsv: Aborting operation now.

Server and client are running Networker 6.1.1 and client also uses SQL module v3.0.1. The client is configured to run consistency checks prior to database backup using remote command "nsrsqlsv -j". Manual DBCC checks indicates that there is nothing wrong with the database.

It seems Networker doesnt wait for the DBCC to complete but instead abort with time out error.

Any help appreciated!

StefanS

So what you're saying is that it is working if you don't run the consistency check prior to the backup?
What does the xbsa.messages on the client say?

Yes, without the consistency checks everything is fine.
xbsa.messages contains no information.

StefanS

Ok, I've seen similar behaviour with previous BSM and SQL releases where the backup fails if you initiate a check in that way. Perhaps an idea could be to run it as a pre-batch job with savepnpc before the backup starts. Sorry, thats about all I have.
