I have a Windows 7, 32-bit machine. I need to use both SQL2000 Enterprise Manager and SQL2005 Management Studio. I did the followings --
install SQL server 2000
install SQL2000 SP4
install SQL server 2005 developer version
install SQL server 2005 SP4

at this point, both were working. However, I do have some legacy DTS run in SQL2005 databases so I need to install SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Components. After installing this, SQL2000 Enterprise Manager doesn't work anymore. When I opened SQL2000 Enterprise Manager, I got the error "mmc.exe - entry Point not found. The procedure entry point ? ProcessExecute @@YAXPAUHWND__@@PBG1@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library SEMSFC.DLL"

not sure what to do. any insight?

thanks

While I normally don't point people to other forums, in this case another forum appears to have the solution so here's the information with credit given....

This is from SQL Server Central's website:

Mark Ruguleiski posted:

You can run both side by side without any issues whatsoever UNTIL you install the "SQL 2000 DTS Designer Components" for SQL 2005 Management Studio. I made the mistake of doing so while comparing the capabilities of the two in order to see which application would best suit my needs. Oops!

If you need both, edit packages in 2000 DTS Designer and don't install this add-in for 2005 Management Studio.

However, Jonathan Stokes posted that installing SS2000 SP4 resolved the issue. So you might try reinstalling SP4.

yep, seen that thread, not working. reinstalled SQL2000 SP 4 as well, not working. they were okay when I was using WIndows XP machine, even with DTS Components installed. But for Windows 7.... :(
We have legacy DTS in SQL 2005 database, so we have to install and use that DTS thing.

thanks
