I have downloaded and installed spyware terminator and it seems fine online updates work but I need t be able to do manual (offline) updates.
But I cannot access their website.

Hmm. it seems that this website is blocked in my hosts file!!

this was originally created using MVPS HOSTs.

It updates automatically, you'll just have to be patient and give it a few days, you can manually update the program version once it has kicked in!

You don't think that their website being 'listed' as bad is a problem?? I can remove it from the 'Hosts' list to gain access.

The machine where I would like to use this has a dial up (56K max) connection, so I download most of my security tool updates at work. and transfer home via RAM stick! That's why I need a manual update source.

there are many legit sites in the hosts file, they sometimes get it wrong, even some members on here have there web sites blocked by the hosts file or was it at wilders?

When I was looking into this one, I think I read that the particular product in question had a questionable past, which was probably how it wound up into the hosts file. Sometimes, maintenance of things gets to be much harder than originals, I guess.
