Does anyone have a good definitive source to identify spyware?

What is everyone’s opinion on Webshots? It appears innocuous enough and Ad-aware does not flag it as spyware.

Any good sources for pretty wallpaper and screen savers that are not a security risk and will keep the troops happy?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Jim

Check this out.

However, IMHO, keeping up with Spyware these days is a daunting task. Every time we identify one, ten more go into circulation, it seems.

carr and smah,
Thanks for the info.
btw, I have seen posts that only older versions of Webshots installed spyware but newer version is OK.

On my test install of Webshots I have not been able to find any trace of new.net files (newdotnet?_??.dll or any new*.dll files at all)

I use spywareblaster and spybot SD. If there are problems with webshots these will find and prevent them from installing and/or working. Also use a good firewall with strong rules, ie: Zonealarm and/or Kerio.

Cheers

Thx to all who respond ;)
