I ran Webroot's Spysweeper on two of my machines today and it detected something called "Farsighter" as spyware in: C:\Program Files\Starfish\Sidekick 98\truesync\disk1\os.dat.
On Symantec's website about Farsighter it has this: "Spyware.Farsighter consists of two components: server and client. The server component allows the running computer the client component to remotely view the computer screen, which is running the server component."
It goes on to say that Farsighter would install a exe called farsighter.exe and create a registry key to run it when Windows starts, neither of which are on my machines. I am assuming it is a false positive; has anyone seen this before?
Thanks, John
