Can both spybot and adware run on the same system? Aren't there going to be any conflicts? How about the integrity of other installed programs?

They can both be safely installed. Run one at a time, and after scanning using spybot, empty the recovery module. After scanning using ad-aware, empty the quarantine. Otherwise, they can find problems in each other's quarantine areas...

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

I have both running on my systems without problems. Spybot does pick up Adaware in the Legal Stuff scan but if you tell it to ignore it, it plays well with Adaware after that.
Adaware is blissfully ignorant of Spybot unless I forget to empty the recovery module as stated previously.
I would also recommend upgrading to Adaware SE as the old version 6 misses quite a bit even with the latest update when compared to SE.
