Attacked and extorted by spyaxe over the weekend, performed the following: In safe mode I ran the SmitRem fix & scaned with ewido and fixed what it found. Ad Aware scan & fix what it found. Rebooted the computer normally, windows updates via Mozilla as IE would not allow me to browse internet. Upon completion of the above I had to reinstall XP to enable OS run effectively, I had utilized selective startup with msconfig because everything was hanging way too long.
Had to repair a cdtlang.dll associated with the Creative Sound card but now all that is left is IE issue and my hijack log provided below.

Please review my log:

Update your IE to SP2 and all HotFixes...

also I would suggest cleaning these aswell, as they are not necessary...

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [InCD] C:\Program Files\ahead\InCD\InCD.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = D:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

Also, in MY OPINION (may not reflect what others think) I would opt to get rid of Norton Firewall and McAffee AV, and replace with other third party programms, such as ZoneAlarm or Kerio for Firewall and AVG/AntiVir/Kapersky for AntiVirus Apps...

Run an online antivirus check from

choose extended database for the scan!

Run ActiveScan online virus scan here

When the scan is finished, anything that it cannot clean have it delete it.
Make a note of the file location of anything that cannot be deleted so you
can delete it yourself.
- Save the results from the scan!

post another hijack this log, the kaspersky and active scan logs

Went over to brother's and have fixed as directed via hijack.I have this log as well as the ewido malware log to post but will have to get online scans later in day.
