SPU4 for MEX

I have BC12-System with one SPU4 as DTMF-Receiver for MEX. For this SPU4 I have received this Licens:

DTMF-RECEIVER-MOB-EXT FAL1043610

SPU4 is up and running with 30 or 32 channels. But this licences are not used. Obviously SPU4 does not need this FAL for proper function. Question: For which purpose is this FAL?

This is dangerous. I have a few SPU4 in my store. So I do not have to order this license for my sites. But if /// decides in the future to change the adminstrative license in a technical license, I have bad luck...
