sps search does not work

Hi,

My portal search does not work, It does not find any word,

I had before a problem (uploading .doc files and thier custom properties) I tryed to fix it I think I have changed something that I dont remmeber what was it, I think the changes i did, make search fail.

any idea? thanks

Hi,

Have you tried to reset your indexes and perform a full update again? Sometimes when the indexes get corrupt you need to reset them (which will remove all items in it) and then you re-index it again.

How you reset the search?, I dont know

You can reset the indexes under the Portal site settings, and under configure search and indexing. If you look at your indexes you can from a dropdown list chose to reset the indexes, this will empty the indexes of all content (documents etc), then you will have to perform a full-update of the indexes.
