Greetings all!
We've recently implemented SPS2003 and MsSSO to help combat the dozens of web-based applications and passwords our users are forced to remember. In the process, we've found that SPS's default to open all links in the "_parent" rather than in a new window is hurting our users--they lose the browser and access to the portal and become lost (and then stop using the portal). I've seen a few posts for opening a new link in a browser window by editing the SearchResultsPart.xsl; however, from other posts, seen that it will cause ALL links to open in new windows (which isn't what I want). I currently have the applications using News Items as links rather than lists because I can add pictures, and detailed descriptions...
I pose the following:
1. How are other organizations implementing MsSSO and getting their applications deployed to their users?
2. Is there a way to create a new, separate WebPart that is recognized by SPS that I could modify to open in a new Window... points to the C# or VB.NET code would be great!
Thanks for your time!
