Spread MySQL Database over multiple folders in WIndows

Hi,

Is it possible to spread a single MySQL database over multiple folders ? Reason is that I have reached the maximum number of allowed files for a folder ( in my case, 39455 files)

hi

the only way how to spread database into multiple folders is by using symbolic links
but this is not possible under windows
even symlinks are fully supported only under linux and solaris

may i dissagree with you? ;-)
first - it's only for the max versions of mysql
and secondly - it's for spreading databases, not spreading tables

I checked out the link and I have to agree with piti. SymLinks don't solve my problem though. Does anyone know what the file count limit on NTFS partitions are ?
