one of my offices uses auth codes. Their SPRE is 3. They claim to dial 36, then the auth code. I cannot find anywhere in my NTP that 6 is the (I don't even know the word I'm looking for) "digit" you press to access auth codes. For CHARGE codes it did say to press charge or SPRE + 5 so that's telling me five is the ? (don't know the word!) for charge. but what about 6 for auth codes? how can I confirm 6 is the "?" for auth code feature? and if I want them to be able to use 6 for CHARGE (I am going to elimiate the auth codes completely but don't want to confuse them by telling them to now dial 35 instead of 36) can i do that in my FFC table?

I can't speak to the changing of the ffc, but 6 is the standard auth code 'code' for basic codes (codes first.)

where can I get a list of each 'code' and their features? like 5 is the 'code' for charging. is there a list anywhere that shows me all the codes? can't find it anywhere in my NTPs. thanks

A bit off topic, but if you get the enhanced auth code package it eliminates the need to enter the spree code and then 6. You just dial normally and enter the auth code at the stuttered dial tone.

well, I'm actually looking to do away with Auth Codes and just use Charge as that's what my firm wants. But I still don't know where I can find a list of what features I can access using SPRE plus ? number. I don't think I'm explaining myself clearly. For instance, 5 is for Charge. What about everything else? Is there some kind of list?

Go to LD 57
REQ PRT
TYPE FFC
CODE ALL

This will list all your Features codes and what digits are required to use them. The SPRE code is required otherwise you cannot use the feature codes however SPRE is really only used in the old dial phones. All phones can access feature codes. Look in NTP for an explination of what teh code mean. You add extra digits, access code to any feature code so you have two or more access code for a single feature

i thought FFCs were in place of SPRE plus the digit. Aren't they two separate things? All I want to know if where can I get a list showing accessible features using SPRE? I am fairly certain FFC is separate.

FFCs are in place of SPRE, but some things will only work with FFCs. Anyway, the list you seek can be found in the NTP 553-3001-306, aka Features and Services. Here is the list...
