I don't know what I am doing wrong ... but, when I import graphics with spot color (created in Illustrator), I cannot seem to get them to print in seperations.

I have tried saving as eps, and tiff.

HELP!

Hi,

the format of your saving isn't the clue. The way to do it is in pagemaker. When you select "Print" you have the option "Colour".

You have several options here and one of them is that you can select a specific colour and decide if you want to proint this colour or not. Under the colour you will see the option "print this colour". If it is unchecked, check it and the colour will print as separate. You will need to have a postcript printer to be able to do this.

hope this helps

Have you tried converting the grpahic in photoshop to grayscale, then defining a Pantone color in PM and applying that spot color to the TIFF? Then when you print the separations, you should have not only CMYK but also the spot color specified in the seps.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
