Our internet provider made some changed to the DNS servers we use. I am blaming that for our problem. Which is.... Once we connect to the VPN from home, broadband or otherwise dialup, we lose most internet access. Most websites don't come up while others do. Anyway, I did a little test. I did a "ipconfig /all" before I connected to the VPN and looked at the DNS servers. Then once I logged into the VPN, I did another "ipconfig /all" and it returned the DNS servers programmed into the concentrator (Cisco 3005). What I would like to try is to remove the DNS entries from the concentrator and leave them blank and see if that will eliminate the VPN client overwriting the original broadband provider's DNS entries. Or maybe I will also try disabling the DNS server configuration from the concentrator alltogether. any thoughts on that? We are trying to use split tunneling so I don't see this as being much of a problem. Do you?
