We purchased a product called Spoolutil for our SCO Openserver system from a company called Rosehill Software about 6 years ago. We find the product very useful in our enviroment where we need to manage the printing of large spool files to preprinted forms.

We are now in the process of upgrading our server and was interested in Purchasing the latest version of this product. However it seems as though Rosehill software no longer exist. Does anyone have any ideas what might have happend to them or if there is an equivilent product available?

The two I've heard of are Unform ( and Reform. I've helped implement Reform a couple of times in years past, and have no idea if they still exist. Unform is currently supported.
Anything you change to will require considerable effort to re-engineer the forms.

If you can provide the name of the Application which produces the output, you might get more feedback from others using something similar.

Many thanks for your reply. I will examine your suggestions and report back on what I find.

I think I may have mis-interpreted your original post. Unform and Reform are utilities to create output which looks like nice forms on plain paper laserjet printers.
They are not spooler management utilities.

Thanks for letting me know. I have now tested my original version of "Spoolutil" on our new server which is running a newer version of SCO Openserver. It appears as though this will work OK. I am therefore very tempted to run with this on the basis of "if it isn't broken don't fix it".

I will have to live with the assumption of having no support for this product, but I have to say I have not required any since we purchased it 6 or so years ago. I will report back if I change my mind on this or if I do indeed find an alternative product.

Thanks again for your input.
