Spooler Sub System Application Problems.

I can't seem to add a printer it keeps saying operation failed. I have started the print spooler and it still keeps generation error. (It is set on automatic)Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft recognises this as a problem but doesn't offer any real solution, which probably means a re-install coming up.

Some things you can try.


Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
