Spooler Service fails with HP 8150

Ok guys and gals heres one for you. HP 8150 connected via a Win NT SP 6a print server. For no apparent reason the que will fail, can't delete any of the qued jobs. Stop and start spooler service on the print server deletes all qued jobs - everything works fine for a day or 2. Connectivity has been tested - no problems. Printer has static IP address on switched network, even tried plugging it into different ports on the switch. Here's the kicker - print server serves over 200 other printers with no problems.

Please help. This has been going on for over 4 months now -we even replaced the printer - still happens.

Is this a recent problem/new installation? Has this 8150 ever worked properly? What's the FW rev? Have you tried to update the FW? What about drivers? What about the 8150 configuration?

FW is current version, SW is current version, all drivers are current (we have NT, 2K, XP, & 2K03 users). The printer has worked in the past (5600+ documents).
