SPM remote access error

While trying to dial remotely w/o onsite manual transfer....

I entered the barrier code and *10 and successfully initiated communication with the system, but after a couple minutes of transfer data, I got an error message about a failure with communication....??? Anyone gotten that before?

I'm letting my laptop modem dial the remote access trunk, then dialing the barrier code and *10 with a connected butset that's off-hook. Should I try a different approach......Should I hang up the butset after dialing *10....??

Is this the only switch you try to access w/ SPM. If so....
then, yes hang up the test set after you hear the two modems talking to each other. The test set has a network that will impede the data transfer when off hook.

Thanks for your help. I adjusted the dial string and abandoned the test set.

Network, huh? I didn't know that?
