Hi,

I'm trying to backup an Access database onto floppies from within a VB application. The problem is that the file is larger than the volume of one floppy disk. Although I've come across utilities such as 'Split and Join' and 'EZ-Split' which will do this within Windows, I can't seem to find anything that I can easily use from within VB.

Can anyone help???

I use PKZIP (Shareware or Registered) and just run it via a SHELL command

dim lResult as long
lresult=shell("pkzip.exe -&f a:\backup.zip Fred.mdb")

pass it the various bits as parameters if you need to.

Latest shareware version of PKzip also supports Long filenames

Have fun

Steve
