This ? is for commoman since you have extensive experience and knowledge. After several conversations with DirecTV self install tech support and a few independent satellite installers I am trying to basically split a signal from an existing cable running in my attic that goes to a standard def receiver in my master bedroom. I'm adding an additional standard def receiver to my sons bedroom. The obvious response I'm getting is that I need to run a separate cable from the dish to the new receiver. I realize that this would be the ideal solution however it would be extremely difficult to run the cable from the dish into the attic. I have a 5lnb hd dish. I have two other hd receivers in other rooms. My question is can I use any kind of splitter from this existing cable to go to the new receiver? I've already done this however not all channels in my program package are coming thru. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
