Hi,

Is it possible to split a single cell into multiple rows in excel ?

eg. If I have a cell to record the history of an issue, then - today there is some progress on the issues so populate the call with todays progress. Tomorrow there is some other update so we have to record this too and related it to the same problem id. So instead of creating a totally new row, it will be better to split the history cell into multiple rows or cells.

Regards,
Rajan

Hi,

A simple answer would be to create an Access database with two tables set up as a one to many i.e. The issue would be the one table and the historical entries would be the many table.

Regards.
