Using Crystal XI and I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I have a report that has Client A, B, C, D etc on it.

I Group the report by Client (new page(s) for each one) and I wondered if there was any way that each seperate client report could be e-mailed to different e-mail addresses via Enterprise ie report for client A goes to clientA@client.com, client B goes to clientB@client.com.

I can't think on any way to do this and I can't think that it would be possible but I'm forever hopeful.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look at these and see if it's a road we want to go down.

Do you know if it's fairly simple to do once you installed one of these packages?

On the question of "fairly simple to do," I think most of the 3rd-party Crystal tools listed at are quite intuitive. However, some of these tools have significant "depth," so leveraging them to their full potential requires some time.

My "Visual CUT" software provides this type of bursting functionality and, if you are comfortable with placing & suppressing fields/formulas in Crystal report sections, you should be able to get your first report setup to burst & email in less than 30 minutes. Subsequent setups would be much faster because various options such as SMTP authentication & server address would already be resolved.

Regardless of the tool you elect to use, you should think through and create a formula that takes into account cases where the email address for a Client is missing. In such cases, the client records should either be filtered out of the report or the email formula should return a default email address so that you (or a designated person in your company) can receive and handle the message.
