I have a CS1000M 6.0 system in split mode. This occured randomly. Can I do a "Join" command to re-establish redundancy. I have also unplugged the Lan 2 cable from the inactive CPPIV which started the disk sync process. Any ideas which will work or why it happens

It's worth a shot, sure can't do any harm

I would bet you have an issue with the software. Connect to the inactive side and see what is happening. If it looks bad search 6.0 PPIV on here because there are some issues with this setup, but there are patches that have resolved this problem.

I had the same issue with one of my switches. Janaya is correct about the software issues. I updated the patches and had to reload the software on both cores. Did the reload first.
