Hi -

I've asked this question a few different ways and can't seem to get it right - - - so here goes again!

I'm using CR10 to read a foxpro file with a memo field that has multiple bits of info in it.

here's a sample

04/09/08 RB: No more refridgerated truck delivery. His house is in town where a truck shouldn't go!!!

03/20/07 LM: this guys account is really screwy....need to see vickie or annette if any questions.

06/19/06 MF: ?????????? CLAIMS ONLY 140 OF 400 PLANTS CAME UP.....GAVE CREDIT , HE CAN WORK IT OFF.

My goal is this - - - - to have the date and initials before each ":" to become a field, with the text after it being another - - - ex:

04/09-08 RB: No More refrig blah blah blah

date and initials are one field
text associated with it is another field

same with the next set - - - 03/02/07 LM: would be one field, and this guys account blah blah would be another

all in all, I would end up with 2 fields per note, and in this case, the memo field would become 3 separate records

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

mary

YOu can try Split()

@first
Split({memofield}, ":")[1]

@second
Split({memofield}, ":")[2]
