How can I split a field into two, I wish to have all bare the last four characters in one field and the last four characters in another field.

i.e.
Go from:
ET0126KSS W001
WR0129RIGS45 N450
ET-0348-POLAR-1246-W123

To:
ET0126KSS and W001
WR0129RIGS45 and N450
ET-0348-POLAR-1246 and W123

Many Thanks
Cheers
David

Hi,
Use the Left() and RIGHT() functions combined with the Length() one to get what you want.

For Example
, something like these 2 formulas:
@FirstPart
Left({Table.Field},Length({Table.Field}) -4)

@SecondPart
Right({Table.Field},4)

On the report place each formula where needed.
