I need to create a report that can do the following, and I've been unable to make it work.
I have a form that is 1/3 of a page (8.5 x11 letter size page) and prints three forms per page. I can do that (I just type in what I want in the top third abd cut and paste to the middle and bottom sections). Example: listing dogs owned by an owner. The first section (1/3 of a page) can print detail for up to three dogs, but the owner might have four, ten, whatever. So the middle section has to print the detail for dogs 4-6, the third section for dogs 7-9. I tried using a record count on the detail tied to the page footer, but that just forces a new page after the first section (2/3rds of the page is blank).
I attempted to create a custom form for the printer, but it won't accept a size shorter and 5 inches and won't print correctly if I try to trick it by saying the form is in landscape.
Is there any way to split detail this way on a page? This seems to be contrary to what the report builder wants to do.
