Hello,
I have a problem. We split an access database and have backend on a netwrokdrive and frontend part of it on users c:\drive. someone moved the backend to different network drive.
Now the frontend part is looking for backend part of it in previous drive and cant find it.
How can we fix this issue ?(other than moving backend to previous locstion as company locked that drive)
Thanks in advance

If you open the front end in design view and go to toolbar:

Tools --> Database Utilities --> Linked Table Manager

you can relink to new _be path.

If Linked Table Manager is not available you may need MS Office Disk to install in. I believe in Access 2000 it is not installed until first use. In Access 97 it was an optional install.

Thanks...But how do we relink?

I am going to make some assumptions here - if any are not true then you need to find someone in your organization to help.

1. You can open db in design mode.
2. All target tables reside in one _be
3. You have Linked Table Manager installed

Open front end (local) database in 'design' mode where you can see table, queries, forms, etc.

As above, go to toolbar and select Tools --> Database Utilities --> Linked Table Manager

Linked Table Manager window should open. On first screen choose 'Always Prompt for new location' and then 'Select All' and then 'Ok'. A new browse window will appear and there you will select the _be file location.

You should get a message "All tables successfully relinked."

Thanks evalesthy, it worked
