Splash Screen with Alpha transparency

Hi,
I'm new to delphi and am probably expecting too much! I want my application to have a splash screen that includes alpha transparency - like the Adobe Photoshop splash screen if anyone knows it.

Is there any way I can interpret PNG transparency information and then display this in a completely invisible form?
