I was checking my domain against dnsreport.com, I see that there is a waning about my SPF record ...

I used the toolbox to create a spf record, however, this hasn't fixed the problem ....

I currently have 3 servers running in my company...

1st server: Microsoft Windows Advanced Server 2000 (DNS)
2nd server: Microsoft Windows Advanced Server 2000 (Primary Exchange 2000)(i.e. mydomain.com) catches all inbound messages
3rd server: Microsoft Windows Advanced Server 2000 (Secondary Exchange 2000)(i.e. mydomain.net) sends outbound mail for mydomain.com

I'm not sure where to put the SPF record, it seems that where ever I put it, theres no effect! ..

Thx in advance ... Tony

OK, here's what I would do.

On your public DNS, ensure you have MX10 for 3rd server, MX20 for 2nd server and MX30 for some kind of ISP backup mail relaying.

Then on the public DNS put the SPF record for everyone in the world except you to use.

On your 1st server, put the SPF record with entries for MX and internal IP addresses. Then have your anti spam product check for SPF failures which will stop emails coming in "from" your domain.
