Is there any way of specifying which order the items in an asp page should be downloaded ??

I have an image intensive navagation and I would like to tell the server to send the page details first.

also I have seen a bit of code to pause an animated gif till the rest of the page has finished. But I can't remember where or what it was. Any Ideas ??

Thanks in advance for any help

I have a cool little trick that works pretty well for image intensive websites. It uses frames, so the user had to have that enabled though. Basically I setup a hidden frame that is nothing but an "image" page. While you are on your initial page (which I made less image intensive) those images are loading in the background. After that, your browser has the images cached and doesn't have to go back to the server to fetch them when you refer to them in your other documents. It's worked pretty well for me. You can make the hidden frame just by specifying its row or column size (depending if it is a horizontal or vertical frameset) to "0".

Thanks Nagrom,

have tried using the hidden image thing but my nav is pulled in through a script, so it seems to re-load on everypage.

I am looking in to several ways round this. Any other sugestions welcome.
