Hi

My spell check in MS word isnt working. Everytime I runit it says that "The spell check is complete. Areas which have been marked as Do not check have been ignored." The language is set to English. What must I do to activate it??

HW: More than likely, you're normal style is set to "no proofing" or you've got all caps. Try this test:

Once a doc has been spell-checked and accepted the way it is, you can go into Tools-Options-Sp/language and hit the RECHECK document button. This resets any words, etc., that was already accepted/ignored/etc. and you can run the spellcheck again.

hwmueller,

Open your document and go to Edit, Select All, then go to Tools, Language, Set Language, choose English US and press the Default button. When prompted with the question "Do you want to change your default language to English US?" and "you are about to make changes to your global template" click yes, OK. This will reset the text of the document and your Word program to English US.

Now go to Tools, Options, Spelling and Grammar tab, check the options you desire. Click on the Dictionaries button and change the language for all of your dictionaries to English US, OK. Then at the bottom of the Spelling and Grammar tab click on the Recheck Document button.

Hope this helps.
