I am wondering how voice messaging customers in other countries use the “spell-by-name” feature when there are accented characters. For example, if they need to spell a name such as:
Hébert Côté
What does the user enter on the numeric telephone keypad? How is that recognized, especially when there is Text to Speech (i.e. how does the speech engine differentiate the accented characters vs. non-accented characters)? Can someone answer this, or point me in the right direction?
