At my home, I have a SpeedStream 2604 4-Port DSL/Cable Router connected to a SpeedStread DSL modem. Connected to the Router are 2 Windows XP machines.
The problem is connection speed. After a power failure I lose connection speed. If I "hold my mouth just right" and reset the router enough times I will eventually be able to connect at acceptable DSL type speeds.
I have traced the problem to the router as when I connect either machine directly throgh the modem the speed is there.
Does anybody have an idea how where the problem lies and how I might fix it?
