On my last reinstall of W98 on a 4.3gigHD ,p133 with 96MB EDO ram. I remember twaeking a memory setting to make applications boot from memory other than my EDO boards. You know, so that booting an app up dosnt freeze while loading for a few seconds?
I cant for the life of me rember which guide/forum it was, and searching hasnt managed to do much yet.
Cheers in advance

I think you're looking for the virtual memory settings, but I could be wrong...if so, sorry! Virtual memory takes unused memory addresses and assign them to hard drive space....a little slower, but it gives you more memory. Alternate click on My Computer, go to Properties, and then to Performance. Click on the Virtual Memory button. If you have two partitions, I'd say set your own VM, and put it on the bigger piece of the HD, but if you only have one partition, I'd say just click "Let Windows manage..." It should be clicked on that anyways, though, but that's the only think I can think of that you're referring to. God bless you.
