I have a Speed Stream 2614 Print Server. I am running an XP machine and a 2000 machine. I can print using the XP machine just fine and I was able to print using the 2000 machine for a while but now I can't figure out what I did to change it. I switched cables and cleaned and reseated all connections. I reinstalled all drivers and updated. I can get to the internet(cable modem) and share files b/w the 2 machines. I can print if I set up the printer directly to my XP and share it to the 2000. I get an error stating that it can't communicate with the printer port on the router when it prints to the printer thru the router. I checked the router interface and it sees the 2000 machine as logging on but when I print it doesn't show the session as occurring. The XP it does. The Speed Stream site is of little help and support has yet to email me back!

I finally woke up to my problem. I am running zone Alarm as the firewall and since I am not using this computer myself(parents computer), I found out they had changed some of the firewall program policies to not allow the Spooler subsystem to access the network. I changed it back and I was able to print no problem. Took me awhile to wake up but it's fixed now.
