Speed Problems

Hello:

I just got DSL and so far, it is nice. I have a problem with my speed though.

Whenever I start a download, I get a burst of about 120 KBps and then it slows to between 33KBps and 40KBps. I know that these are a lot faster than dial up, but I know that it is not as fast as DSL can go.

I have called my ISP and they said that they have done everything that they can to make my speed better.


I am fairly close to the main hub, so I know that is not the problem.

Is there any programs that people know of that can actually increase your speed?

If so, I am desparate.

and run a test a do a tweak test on your pc.
The speed test and tweaks are under tools.
