Customer has used their dial 9 group for years and now we have added dial 8 and dial 7 for two additional hunt groups that are used for different departments.

The ext. users use speed dialing a lot and now they want the calls to go out over their assigned groups i.e. 9, 8 or 7. Every time the press Speed Dial and the speed dial code it always dials out on 9.

They all need access to 9,8 and 7 on all sets. Is there any way to program the sets to dial out on a primary dial group.

should be as easy as when programing the speed dial number just enter the 9 or the 8 or the 7 then the number and hit ok to store it, making sure that the user has access to the dial what ever pool.
hope this helps

I have them able to access A(9),B(8),C(7),D(6) groups. The SD they are using is the System Speed dial.

They have been use to just pressing Feature 0 + code and it always chooses group A. The problem with changing the SD string is that the rest of the company would be dialing out on the group.

They have about 50 employees and they use the system SD to call all their stores. The stores are numbered to match the System SD numbers.

I have been able to first dial for example 7 then F0+code but they want to eliminate dialing 7.

I guess my questions is why does the system default to the group (A) that is associated with dial code 9.

In system speed dial programming you are asked what method to cal out on being prime line, secific line, pool or route....only one can be entered.

What is the current setting you have?

Speed dial is set to dial out on I/C and the sets are programmed to dial out on I/C.

The customer must be able to use any of the calling groups 9,8,7,6 from any phone.

Defaults to group A"
If you do not dial an access code fist it will default to the first Pool if you have allowed more that one pool access.
First being A then B etc.

You have to deny the other 2 pools under Access to accomplish but in your case they want access to all pools, if thats the case then the phone system does not read minds guessing at what pool they want to use when calling out.
You need to tell the system which group you want to dial out on....simple as that.

I would say create 3 speed dials for each same store but then you SD #'s wont match.

And since they dont want to dial 7 before spped dial can I ask how they dial outside for a normal call?
