Have not run into this before any suggestions. When trying to program system speed dial on a CICS it will not take any numbers 01-71 if i hit 256-299 it will let me but that makes it a three digit speed dial ( feature * 0 256-, why bother just dial the number). What have I programed incorrectly?

Martin,
You are using the personal speed dial group for the set in Rls 6. The global speed dials have been increased from 70 to 250 and still use access 01 to 250. Global speed dials are programmed in admin.

Thanks found that out today, finally got new documentation that covered this. With this new speed dial numbers being three digit you are now required to dial six digits to dial a speed dial number seems nortel when in the wrong direction to me, just dial 7 digits and not worry about entering all the speed dials, sure you save a couple of steps on long distance numbers but not enough to worry about trying to remember which of the 001-250 numbers it was.

It seems it would have been a little brighter to have just left the personal speed numbers at two digits since it appears that they only wanted to increase the system speed dial locations available.

They did it for Caller ID purposes, so that if no name comes across, it will look at the speed dial list to see if there is a number match. If so, the name in your speed dial list will be displayed.
IMHO, I would rather have 2 digit speed dial list.
