Hi folks,

Can anybody explain me the difference between system speed call and user speed call? Also the difference between SSU, SSC, SCU and SCC?

Thanks,

Amit

system speed is a single list that can be built and shared system wide,, station speed (ss) can be for a single station or a dept.. the u is for user the c if controller. only the controller has edit allow..

i have ssc 80 on my 3904, all the other sets in the switchroom have ssu, they can press the line, then the ssu key then the 2 digit code

Used by all phones to make system calls
SSU=System Speed User (Can only use the speed call list)
SSC=System Speed Controller (Can make changes to and use list)

Used by 1 or more phones
SCU=Speed Call User (Can only use the speed call list)
SCC=Speed Call Controller (Can make changes to and use list)

It's been awhile since I set up user speedcall lists and I have a user who needs his increased from 10 numbers to 20 numbers in the list. Where's that at and can I do that without wiping the numbers he's already programmed?

The only difference between usual and system speed call: "System Speed Call allows a user to temporarily override the telephone’s Class of Service, Trunk Group Access Restrictions (TGARs), and code restrictions".

Just go to LD18 end type SIZE 20.

btw, when you do, it used to erase the old file, so save it.. might as well make it 99.. used to cause mem problems, but not since rls 16 or so

Thanks 3tdp33ler and John. I figured the existing numbers would be erased so I printed them in LD 20 PRT SCL first and re-STORed them again just to be sure.

Did it several times.
The numbers are on the same place... strange..

i think the time i erased one was a system that i bumped up from 2 digit to 3 digit numbers.. it was used a lot due to all plant phones being ncos 0.. the speed dial was posted at each set.. you could all outside numbers on the list without an auth code.. went from 99 to 500 entries and blew away the old list.. (dumb term days)

I didn't even check to see if the original numbers were there, I just re-entered them to be certain. The user can be the south end of a northbound equine and I don't like "gotchas" from assuming too much.
