Speech SDK 5.1 foreign language options

Hey guys,

Has anyone used the SDK before? I want to use both the Chinese and Japanese language packs for it. I'm sure it is capable of outputting what I say in the respective language, but I'm wondering if it has the option to output the pinyin or romaji instead of characters.

Is this an option? Or is there something manual that I can do to make it do this?

Japanese and Simplified Chinese engines seem to be the only non-English languages mentioned.

Problem with Chinese speech is that it is very context dependent. Sometimes the 2nd tone is used on a 3rd tone word but because of the context, everyone understands it even though it is the wrong tone.

yes context is a problem but for now I just want speech to pinyin. the sdk should have no problem picking up the tone I'm using, regardless of the character in context.
